Bed Wetting

By the age of 4 years, a child usually gains control over the sphincter and pelvic floor muscles. However, sometimes a child will still be unable to achieve bladder control when his or her pelvic floor muscles relaxes and empties while he or she sleeps. That’s where physical therapy helps in zoning in on these muscles and providing the right exercises to improve bedwetting issues.

Treatments will include:

- Behavior modification

- Bladder retraining

- Soft tissue work

- Diet modifications

-Ultrasound

Our pelvic floor specialist will emphasise on bowel and bladder habits and encourage a complete emptying of the bladder.
